Our Reception classes are supporting the charity Action for Children by holding an exciting Giant Wiggle walk on Thursday 23rd March in our outdoor provision (or the school hall should it be very wet).
What is it?
The Giant Wiggle is a fun-filled walk for children but also so much more – we’ll be sharing the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar™, making art and forming our own giant caterpillar conga line! As a reminder of the day, your child/children will receive a lovely sticker and certificate.
What can you do?
We would like to invite our Reception parents to join us in our caterpillar craft activities on Thursday 23rd March between 8:50 and 10:00am.
We hope you’ll encourage your child/children to take part in all the caterpillar themed fun and kindly give a donation of £1. Thank you.
How far your money will go:
This event will not only bring fun and joy to your own child’s day, but will also mean that Action for Children can continue to protect and support children as they grow up.
- £5 could pay for someone from Action for Children to babysit while a parent takes their sick child to hospital
- £10 could pay for a special video or CD of nursery rhymes to help a child with learning difficulties develop language skills
- £20 could feed 15 hungry children at one of the charity’s breakfast clubs
Please bring your donation on the day and we’ll then be able to let you know exactly how much we’ve raised together for this wonderful charity.
