Education City update

Dear Parents and Carers

We have been working hard to clear up the issues we’ve been having with logging in to Education City, so in order to determine how they can solve the problems, Education City have asked if parents could collect some information and send it in an email to them at:
AlexanderTudno-Jones@educationcity.com

Can you please e-mail them the following information?

• Screenshots of the error
• The device you are using (Windows laptop/PC, Macbook, iPad etc)
• Your Operating System version (for help on this, visit http://whatsmyos.com/)
• Your Browser version (for help with this, visit http://www.whatbrowser.org/)
• Your Flash Player version (for help, visit https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html)

Education City have also asked if parents could take the following actions and confirm whether or not it resolves the issue:

• Clear the browser cache (visit http://refreshyourcache.com/en/home/ for instructions for this)
• Install, and access EducationCity using Google Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome/)

Thank you

World Book Day – 3rd March 2016

World Book Day 2016

This year to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March 2016 we are celebrating the tradition of the bedtime story. We are asking children to come to school dressed in their pyjamas or onesie and bring along their favourite bedtime story or the favourite bedtime story that you enjoyed reading as a child.

As part of our celebration of World Book Day we are also challenging your child again to have a picture taken of them reading somewhere extreme. This can be up a tree, on top of a mountain or standing on their head, but obviously we encourage you to keep safe (I wouldn’t recommend reading whist wrestling a tiger!) but we are really looking forward to seeing who in school has such a passion for reading that they have to do it anywhere and everywhere!

Entries need to be in handed in to your child’s class teacher or can be emailed to the office (office@lowerplace.rochdale.sch.uk) by the 2nd March 2016.

Thank you,

Mrs Davis (Reading Leader)
