Class blog sites

On behalf of all the staff at Lowerplace I would like to thank everyone who has posted, commented or simply visited our class blogs this year. We have continued to develop our blogs and helped children share their learning more widely than ever before. This will continue into the new academic year, as we aim embed blogging even further into the teaching and learning at Lowerplace.

The links on http://lowerplace.net have now all been updated to point to the new class blogs. However, you can still view the blogs from this and previous years at our archived blogs page. Teachers will continue to be notified of new posts and comments, so please do encourage your children to keep using the blogs over the summer holidays.

School closed on Friday 17th July 2015

Don’t forget, we’re closed on Friday 17th July, but open again at 8:50am on Monday 20th July for the last week in school.

School closes for summer at 3:15pm on Thursday 23rd July.

There will only be ONE After-School Club next week, which is Rounders for Years 4, 5 and 6, on Tuesday because we have so many other events:

Wednesday has the Business Enterprise Fair from 3:30pm to 5:00pm

Have a lovely weekend and we’ll see you on Monday!

Surviving technology in the summer holidays

Mr Hall has prepared this handy guide for parents and carers full of helpful tips to help keep your child safe online. We teach online safety at school, but having support from home to reinforce these important messages is crucial. Click on the image below to see the letter:
