Behaviour Workshop – Friday 3rd July

good-to-be-green

Following on from our parent questionnaires, some parents have requested more information about Good To Be Green, our school’s behaviour system – including the rewards for good behaviour, the sanctions for poor behaviour, and how we track it.

We are holding a behaviour workshop on Friday 3rd July 2015 at 2:45pm, in the Key Stage One (Infant) building. When you arrive, please come to the infant office to sign in.

See you there!

Crossing Patrols at Lowerplace

crossing patrol

We’ve had a letter from the council’s Schools Crossing Patrol Supervisor advising us that they won’t be able to provide a crossing patrol on Kingsway / Kings Road after Friday 19th June 2015, due to the current patrol person leaving.

If you are interested or you know of anyone who would be interested in working as a school crossing patrol please contact the School Crossing Patrol Service, telephone 0300 303 8879, for details of pay and conditions, we have various locations available within the borough.

Or alternatively you can email nicola.mcilvenny@rochdale.gov.uk and an application form will be emailed back to you. We do have the option to apply on line via www.rochdale.gov.uk.

Get Set for Sports Day!

Sports-Day-Image

We’re holding Lowerplace Sports Day this year on Tuesday 16th June. The event will be held on the school field.

The timings for the event are as follows:

Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1: 9.00am until 11.45am
Key Stage 2: 1pm until 3pm

The Commando Joes’ team will be there too and bringing an assault course to the games again!

We will endeavour to proceed with the games come rain or shine. If we are lucky enough to have a sunny day, please ensure your child has suitable protection from the sun, including a hat, sun lotion and water. As always, please ensure that your child has the appropriate PE kit with them for the day (white t-shirt, shorts and pumps) as they will be unable to participate if they do not have the correct clothing.
