Going Green and making a difference!

We had a lovely day last Friday, it was Go Green Day for Springhill Hospice, so we asked for donations of £1 and everyone came to school in something green. We had green jumpers and jeans, green hair, green face paint, green nail varnish and everything else we could think of – it was very strange not to see everyone in their blue uniforms!

In the afternoon, we had a special visitor – Springy the Frog from Springhill Hospice! We held two assemblies, where he popped in to say hello and to thank everyone for raising so much money. Here he is in Key Stage Two, so excited to hear how much we’d raised!

We’re proud to announce that we have raised:

Springhill Go Green 2015 total

which will help Springhill with their work to help people with life-limiting illness.

Thank you all – parents and children and staff – for your support. You really do make all the difference!

We’re Going Green on Friday for Springhill Hospice!

We’re halfway through SATs week and we’re looking forward to celebrating on Friday when they’re all over! What better way than to have fun while we’re raising money for Springhill Hospice on their Go Green Day?

We’re having a non-uniform day on Friday 15th May: asking for a donation of £1, and for children to come in wearing green – whether that’s green clothes, face paint, hair chalk – or even a Hulk costume!

We’ll be having special assemblies about Springhill Hospice, and we’ll even be visited by their mascot Springy!

Once a week…

There’s no shame in getting head lice. Most children will get head lice at least once during primary school, so it’s very important to check their hair as often as you can. Click on the leaflet below for some handy advice for how to spot and treat the little menaces.
