Applications now being taken for admission to Primary School in September 2015

Please visit www.rochdale.gov.uk/schooladmissions if you wish to apply for a school place for the new intake in September 2015.

You can complete the application online – you need to register your email address with the site, then log in and complete the application form, or print off a PDF of the application form and fill it in by hand if you prefer.

The closing date for applications is 15th January 2015.

Parents will receive a letter from the Pupil Services team at Rochdale Council containing your child’s unique ID code (UiD). These will not be sent out until late October/early December. Parents can still apply without a UiD and to do this you should apply at www.rochdale.gov.uk/schooladmissions and click on ‘No UiD’ when prompted.

Lowerplace sings!

During the summer term year 4 worked with Chant Productions, learning songs for a performance at the 4th Investic Test Match between England and India at Old Trafford. Despite the best efforts of the Mancunian weather, the rain stayed away long enough for the children to sing their hearts out. Well done to everyone involved, it was a fantastic day out.

This is the second major sporting event which Lowerplace children have performed at. Earlier in the year a group if year 4 and 5 children performed at the Rugby League World Cup match between Irealnd and Fiji at Spotland Stadium. We are looking forward to working with Chant again to give the children at Lowerplace more opportunities to perform in front of thousands of people.

Welcome back!

Lowerplace reopens to pupils in Years 1 to 6 at 8:50am on Wednesday 3rd September 2014.

If your child is starting in the Reception class, you will have received a letter to advise whether they’ll have a morning or afternoon session for the first couple of weeks.

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow!
