Teacher Training and Bank Holiday

Hi all,

Just a quick reminder that this Thursday 2nd May we will be closed for Teacher Training.

Children are welcomed back into school on Friday 3rd May.

We will then be closed for May Day Bank Holiday on Monday 6th May.

Did you know…?
* That the first Monday in May is a National Holiday in England, France, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Romania, Canada, USA and Hawaii.
* The day is seen as a celebration of the start of Spring.
* Traditionally in the UK and America, towns and villages would celebrate May Day by decorating and the Maypole with ribbons and flowers.
* Morris Dancers often perform around the Maypole too.
* In village celebrations, a May Queen will be nominated and she is honoured to be queen for a day.

We hope you all enjoy your May Day Bank Holiday Weekend!

Excellent results for our first week back! It’s great to see you have all come back with such gusto – helped I’m sure by seeing the wonderful reward afternoon which the children with 100% won at the end of last term. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears to the ground as we will very soon be releasing information about our Summer Term 100% Award – it’s going to be amazing!

Don’t forget, punctuality is just as important as being here every day. If you are here on time, you hear all the information about what will be happening that day. If you are having trouble getting to school on time, feel free to talk to your class teacher or one of the office staff – we might be able to help.
