MacMillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Today we took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, a fundraising campaign from MacMillan Cancer Support.

MacMillan are a charity that provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support for people living with cancer.

We are so proud of all of our parents and children who kindly donated cakes, buns and biscuits – quite a few of them home-made! We had a good turn out at the coffee morning; I think the tea, cakes and good company were a welcome sight after being caught in the atrocious rain on the school run!

You will be pleased to know that in total we raised a whopping £328.08! We are extremely grateful for your kindness and generosity, you have all helped to make a difference.

For those of you who entered into the MacMillan raffle, they will draw the winners after the 8th of November and contact you directly if you have won.

Thank you again everyone.

And so we begin…

Welcome back everybody!

It’s the second day of term and we are getting straight back into the swing of things here in the office. It has been very busy as we have admitted 85 new little one’s into our Foundation Stage, as well as a handful of new children into our other year groups.

A huge welcome to all of our new children and parents alike! We are very happy to have you with us. Don’t forget that we are always available to help if you have any questions during those first days with us.

We hope you all had a fantastic Summer holiday. Here at school lots of work went on – new windows throughout Key Stage 1 & 2, a new gym climbing frame in KS1, as well as lots of teachers working hard at moving classrooms and making them perfect for your arrival back at school. There were also lots of lovely boxes to unpack full of new supplies for the classrooms – pens, pencils, atlases, calculators, craft paper, books and games. It was like Christmas a hundred times over! At one point I was worried that we might disappear underneath all of those boxes!

Well, onwards and upwards!
